RSY - the secular history of shipbuilding
The shipbuilding yard at the left bank of the river Volga was established in 1907 by Nobel
Brothers. In 1908-1909 the yard had launched onto the water the first screw steamers on Volga:
"Mosquito", "Bumble-bee" and "Tungus".
From the very beginning the plant has passed the long
way from small workshops repairing river barges to the modern shipbuilding yard producing
sea-going vessels.
Today Rybinsk Shipbuilding Yard is the dynamically developing industrial
enterprise implementing shipbuilding and ship-repairing works.
RSY - new technologies and European quality
Technical facilities of "Rybinsk Shipbuilding Yard" enable to carry out the shipbuilding of
full cycle producing vessels with the deadweight up to 6500t and launching weight up to
2200t.
The plant is installed by modern Russian and foreign technological equipment. Shipbuilding
process takes place in well-equipped indoor workshops making it possible to fulfil all kinds
of mounting and painting works at the higher quality all through the year.
Modern technologies, quality control on all stages of development combined with the skilled
manpower provide all necessary conditions for building vessels of various types ath the
European quality economically on schedule.
RSY - the production aimed to future
RSY' production:
- sea-going dry cargo vessels, designed and being built according to European standards for
carriage ISO containers, general and bulk cargoes, wood and dangerous cargoes;
- sea-going diving and hydrographic vessels;
- hulls for vessels of various types;
Since 1993 the plant keeps producing universal dry cargo vessels at the class of German
Lloyd for the export.
The plant has a long-time experience in building river vessels and river-sea cargo motor
vessels. RSY is able to carry out shipbuilding and ship-upgrading projects requiring a high
level of technology and construction skills.
RSY - the partners of the plant
The plant has built tens of vessels for the Departments of Sea and River Fleet of Russia, Ukraine
and Azerbaijan. From the beginning of 1990s RSY's customers are Cyprian, German and Dutch
shipping companies as well as Russian shipping companies and state institutes.
The plant's partners are leading Russian and foreign companies producing high-quality
materials and ship equipment.
The Rybinsk Shipbuilding Yard is open to new mutual-beneficial contacts intending to expand
its line of business marketing.
